CAN A PERSON LIKE ME BE SAVED?
The answer to that question is, Yes! God's love for the world is unconditional. It is because of His grace and mercy and the shedding of His blood that our sins are washed away and forgotten. His desire is that ALL will be saved and enter into heaven with Him. That is why He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to become a ransom for many by dying on the cross for mankind's sins. Then He raised from the dead so that we can have eternal life in heaven and not suffer eternally in hell. Some may be wondering what it means to be a saved born again Christian. You may be asking yourself, do I need to be saved to enter into heaven? Will my good deeds get me in? The Bible says:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son (Jesus), that whosover believes in Him should not perish (in hell), but have everlasting life (in heaven)." John 3:16
"All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin (evil doings) is death, but the gift of God is eternal life" Romans 6:23For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:28
Accept Jesus Today Through Prayer!
Dear Lord, I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don't please you. I have lived my life for myself. I am sorry and I repent. I ask you to forgive me and wash all my sins away. I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me and raised from the dead so that I can have eternal life in heaven. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life, I give it to you. Help me to live every day in a way that pleases you. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you, in Jesus' name. Amen!
What Is Salvation?
Salvation means to be saved from something. In your case, it is being saved from your sins. Only Jesus Christ can save mankind from their sins. Salvation is making Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, repenting and turning away from your sins, and believing that Jesus voluntarily became the ultimate sacrifice for us by dying on the cross for our sins, and believing that He was buried and resurrected from the dead.
"If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, ye will be saved" Romans 10:9
Coming to Jesus Christ takes faith, and when you let Him into your heart, you will have the love, peace and joy you need. He will be your comfort and friend forever. You won't have to worry about your past mistakes or failures anymore because He is forgiving and merciful.
